Materials Testing Inc. and it’s subsidiary KC Engineering Company was formed by Douglas G. King and David V. Cymanski in January 1996 and has grown to be one of the most respected engineering consulting and testing firms in the northern California region. Two new principals were incorporated into the management structure, Andrew L. King and Maurice M. Mathews. With over 36 years of combined experience, we have participated in the development of numerous sites with varying topographic and geologic conditions from initial site history and resulting subsurface soil investigations to quality control and quality assurance during public and private improvement construction. This experience drives our company to support our clientele with the ability to evaluate new projects and contribute intelligent, common sense driven, geotechnical engineering, materials testing and special inspection services during construction. Our strength is based on our entire staff of professional and staff engineers, certified technicians and inspectors, and supporting administrative staff working together to provide excellent client service, practical and cost-effective solutions, and timely reports. Our engineers are licensed to practice in the State of California and Oregon as Professional and/or Geotechnical Engineers.
